BT Impacts LA

Posted: 11th May 2011 by admin in general update, Global Impact

This Summer, BT impacts LA!

North Orange County CA has the 2nd largest Muslim population in the US. We will be working alongside Voice of the Refugees as we “Impact LA.” There are a few ways to be involved: [1] Finacially Support the teams and mark your donation “LA” [2] Pray before, during and after the trip [3] Organize the collection of needed items as we send 3 BT vans filled with items [4] Provide meals/snacks for team training times [5] Attend the report from the teams when they return.

We have a Veritas team, Sr High Youth group along with Mike and Beckie Hall going out to LA in July.
Contact us at grow@btmcallen.com for more information and specifics are available at the information booth in the main entrance.

Global Impact

BT McAllen defines missions as the ministry that takes place outside the four walls of our church with the focus on making disciples in our community (Judea), area around us of different culture (Samaria), and to the ends of the earth.

Local ChurchOur Jerusalem or home base

All of the ministries that take place within our four walls. This is foundation and power booster stage of our world level purpose. The stonger the local church, the stronger our world level purpose. This includes nurturing children, discipling youth, equipping families, counseling, fellowship, worship, sermons, building buildings, etc.

Community – Our Judea or region of like cultrue all around us

The pool of lost people that live within driving distance of our church that have made no commitment to Christ or our church. The community is our most natural platform in which to make God’s love visible.

Samaria- Region next to us of a different culture

A distinct ethnic group in another culture near to us

End of the Earth – A distinct ethnic group in lands not considered near to us.
